She’s been feeling so isolated lately
Life gets more complicated daily
If you’re unsure
Kids if you want to find out more
Listen to the preacher talk
Listen to the preacher sing
Listen to the preacher’s thoughts
Listen to the preacher tell you what to think
She’s been thinking she’s missing out on life’s fun
And everything just looks different now the light’s on
If you’re unsure
Wondering what’s the point of it all
Listen to the preacher talk
Listen to the preacher sing
Listen to the preacher’s thoughts
Listen to the preacher tell you what to think
If you’re unsure
Kids if you want to find out more
Listen to the preacher talk
Listen to the preacher sing
Listen to the preacher’s thoughtsListen to the preacher tell you what to think

Don't Believe It
All the cities will combine
All the buildings will tower
All the egos will collide
All will run on sunlight power
We will all die of disease
We will all kill each other and our lovers
There will be no end to the suffering
All our lives will be organised
On single computer chips
And they will give us digital minds
All the world will be a grid-locked consciousness
We will all die of disease
We will all kill each other and our lovers
There will be no end to the misery
Don’t buy the pessimistic stories
Don’t buy the sensational warnings
Don’t lose hope
All the buildings will tower
All the egos will collide
All will run on sunlight power
We will all die of disease
We will all kill each other and our lovers
There will be no end to the suffering
All our lives will be organised
On single computer chips

Dark Star
Chasing the beautiful unknown
In a Cave
You shouldn’t push your luck
I am a fortunate one and I take it for granted
Telling the moment’s come and it’s gone
Gone astray
Last time I saw you was through a telescope lens
The pleasure, the pain
The loss, the gain
The guilt, the pride
The thrill, the ride
Out at sea, a flame burning
Bettering, bettering me
Always knew how to get to me
Always knew how to rescue me
Out of air, you can’t get no
Oxygen out there
Always knew how to get to me
Always knew how to rescue me
Eight months on and it’s at the forefront
Dark matter
Pulling me one way then the other
She takes a torch to my weakness
Energises, rectifies it
The pleasure, the pain
The loss, the gain
The head, the heart
The dark star
Out at sea, a flame burning
Bettering, bettering me
Always knew how to get to me
Always knew how to get me
Out of here, and to a dark star
Where the weaknesses disappear
Always knew what to say to me
Always knew how to rescue me
In a Cave
You shouldn’t push your luck
I am a fortunate one and I take it for granted
Telling the moment’s come and it’s gone
Gone astray
Last time I saw you was through a telescope lens
The pleasure, the pain
The loss, the gain

Confrontation
Wait, just a minute, I’m almost spent
Tired final words that don’t make a dent
This is confrontation
This is who I am
This is confrontation
Your victory, your big surprise
Your crushed and humiliated eyes
That can’t quite find the words to say
Everything that’s happened in these last few days
It’s just too much to communicate
This is confrontation
This is who I am
This is confrontation
The thoughts at best so badly expressed
And all the confusion leads to wrong conclusions
The broken communication and complications
By the final stages nobody has a clue
Why anyone chose to do anything
So choose your sides, no surprises
Everyone goes to the side they’re close to
The side they’re supposed to, it’s an unwritten rule
This is confrontation
This is who I am
This is confrontation
Don’t feel the same but you can hate me
If you think it’ll help you, just think of yourself now
Think of all the moments I robbed you of
This is confrontation
This is who I am
This is confrontation
This is who I am
Tired final words that don’t make a dent
This is confrontation
This is who I am
This is confrontation
Your victory, your big surprise

The Gallery
I've been to the gallery but not told anyone
You'll never hear the truth from my lips but I'll sing you a song
When you're always looking over your shoulder
And you can't stop the motion it's been rolling far too long
I guess things turned out right for you
I guess things worked out fine for you
Despite all that you'd done
So I drift a life of paranoia on the bank of the River Styx
And I push away my only chance and stare deep into the abyss
You'll never hear the truth from my lips but I'll sing you a song
When you're always looking over your shoulder
And you can't stop the motion it's been rolling far too long
I guess things turned out right for you
I guess things worked out fine for you
Despite all that you'd done
So I drift a life of paranoia on the bank of the River Styx
And I push away my only chance and stare deep into the abyss
Elliot's Song
This is the ending that stops the kids crying
This is us clinging onto our ties
This is us forcing a moral to the story
This is the perfect time to theorise
A thousand miles away on an island
Singing Elliot’s song by the fireplace
Let it go, let it go to waste
This is a question I could not answer
This is us wondering what could have been
This is an era of endings getting nearer
This is a series I’m narrating
A thousand miles away on an island
Singing Elliot’s song by the fireplace
Let it go, let it go to waste
A thousand nights and days in a dream
Trying to synchronise two movie screens
Let it go, let it go, please let me in
So this is me watching Elliot on the TV
And this is me starting to realise
This is me losing my place in reality
This is me desperate to apologise
A thousand miles away on an island
Singing Elliot’s song by the fireplace
Let it go, let it go to waste
A thousand nights and days in a dream
Trying to synchronise two movie screens
Let it go, let it go, please let me sleep
This was the gesture I couldn’t think of
This was my island and she was the sea
This was me waiting for Elliot to forgive me
Because this is not how Elliot’s song should be
This is us clinging onto our ties
This is us forcing a moral to the story
This is the perfect time to theorise
A thousand miles away on an island
Singing Elliot’s song by the fireplace
Let it go, let it go to waste
